Anise Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 large eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 tsp. anise oil
    2 Tbsp. anise seed
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. almonds, chopped in blender
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add
    eggs
    one
    at a time.
    Add flavorings
    plus the anise
    seed.
    Sift
    together
    the
    flour, baking powder and salt into a
    large bread bowl.
    Make well in center; add the first mixture and mix as for old fashioned tea cakes, incorporating all of the flour.
