Mom'S Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg (whole)
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. marshmallows (small)
1 c. light brown sugar
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in whole egg and 2 egg yolks.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Combine 2 mixtures; blend.
Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle nuts, chocolate pieces and marshmallows over batter.
Beat 2 egg whites very stiff.
Fold in brown sugar.
Spread over cake.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
