Bake at 400\u00b0 on top rack for 10 minutes.

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake

Cream oil, sugar and cocoa.
Add eggs.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Add soda and salt. Add vanilla to hot water and fold water into cake. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until done.
Icing For Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake: Bring margarine, cocoa and whole milk to boil.
Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla.
Mix until smooth and of spreading consistency.
This is my favorite chocolate cake.

Rum Old-Fashioned Cocktail

Combine baking soda and sour cream.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each.
Blend in vanilla.

Refrigerate until easy to handle, usually at least an hour.
Roll out dough about 1/2 inch thick and cut into shapes.

Cake: Mix sugar and butter scaint until a cream. Combine with milk, flour, baking powder, 6 egg whites beaten very stiff and vanilla. Ad the nuts, mix all together and bake in a moderate oven.
Frosting: Let 1 1/2 cups pulverized sugar boil until when put in cold water it becomes brittle. Beat the 2 egg whites until very stiff and add the sugar and beat until it gets cold. Flavor to taste.

In large bowl, blend margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy.

Add to creamed mixture; mix to blend.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet that has been sprayed with Pam.
Flatten with floured fork to 2-inch diameter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool slightly on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack.

Combine milk, cranberries, cinnamon and salt in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add oats and apple. Simmer, uncovered, 5-6 minutes for old-fashioned oats or 1-2 minutes for quick oats, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat. Stir in Equal, nuts and vanilla.
