Add eggs.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Add soda and salt. Add vanilla to hot water and fold water into cake. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until done.
Icing For Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake: Bring margarine, cocoa and whole milk to boil.
Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla.
Mix until smooth and of spreading consistency.
This is my favorite chocolate cake.

Add to creamed mixture; mix to blend.
Stir in oats and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet that has been sprayed with Pam.
Flatten with floured fork to 2-inch diameter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool slightly on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack.

Sift confectioners sugar over tops.
Yields 3 dozen large cookies.

3 Minute No Bake Cookies

In large saucepan, combine sugar, margarine, milk and cocoa. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Continue boiling 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat. Stir in oats.* Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until firm. Store tightly covered.
Makes about 3 dozen.
*If using old fashioned oats, cool mixture in saucepan 5 minutes.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sift together the flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
Add brown sugar, oleo and eggs.
Last, stir in old-fashioned Quaker oats. Add chocolate chips.
Drop on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.

Oatmeal Cookies

Stir together flour, salt and soda.
In a separate bowl, mix Crisco, sugars, egg, water and vanilla.
Mix the dry ingredients with sugar mixture.
Stir in old fashioned Quaker oats, using a spoon.

Mrs. King'S Cookies

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well mixed.
Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
In a medium bowl sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Add dry ingredients to wet mixture in large bowl and beat well.
Stir in white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, old fashioned rolled oats and granola mix.
When well mixed, shape into golf ball size and bake on ungreased cookie sheets, 8-10 minutes or until barely golden.

Multi-Grain Oatmeal Cookies

Preheat oven to 350.
Cream butter and shortening.
Add sugars. Mix.
Add egg, water, and vanilla. Mix.
Add salt, cinnamon, baking soda, and powdered milk. Mix.
Add whole grain wheat flour, and ground oatmeal. Mix.
Add ground barley and ground flax. Mix.
Fold in old fashioned oats and raisins.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto cookie sheets.
Bake 13 - 15 minutes.
Cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheet, then transfer to cooling rack until completely cooled.
