Edible Finger Paints(Gelatin Paint)

Supervise as you have children follow these steps:
Wet finger paint paper on the glossy side.
Sprinkle 2 to 3 tablespoons of dry gelatin on the wet paper.
Use as a finger paint.

Cornstarch Finger Paint

Mix the cornstarch with the cold water first, until you have a smooth paste.
Stir in the boiling water.
Add a squirt of liquid detergent to make the paint easy to claen off things.
Color it with vegetable dye or tempra paint.
The dye will color your hands a little and could stain clothes too.
Let the finger paint cool before you use it.
Shelving paper, sunny side up, makes good finger paint paper.

Finger Paint

Mix flour, salt and cold water in a saucepan to make a smooth paste.
Add hot water and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and changes from white to a darker color.
Remove from heat.
Add food coloring or Tempera.
(Wintergreen or vanilla flavoring may be added to reduce the flour odor).
To create interesting textures, add sand, saw dust or coffee grounds.
The finger paint is usable for 1 week.
It will mold if kept longer.
