Kickin Cherry Stickin Chipotle Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 bone-in chicken thighs with skin
Oil for drizzling
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the sauce:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup cherry preserves
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1-2 canned chipotle peppers in Abodo sauce (deseeded and diced fine)
1 tablespoon chipotle sauce
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 cloves of garlic, put through press
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation

Heat your grill. Combine all of your ingredients for sauce in a saucepan, mix well and set aside. Clean your chicken, pat dry with a paper towel. Brush with some oil and season well with salt and pepper. When your grill is hot place your chicken on the grill skin side down and let cook for 20 minutes undisturbed. While your chicken is cooking place your saucepan on the grill and cook your sauce, stirring occasionally until thickened, approximately 20 minutes. Then remove from direct heat and set aside. At this point it is time to turn the chicken and let cook for an additional 20 minutes. Once the chicken begins to cook, start basting with BBQ sauce, turning as you baste. Last basting should be skin side up and internal temperature is 180 degrees. Plate and serve!
