Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pound bacon
2 (8 oz) cans whole water chestnuts
    2/3 cup packed brown sugar
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup ketchup (Trader Joe's is the only ketchup worth using!)
2 teaspoons Sriracha. (Alternatively, use horseradish, ginger, dried mustard, or whatever heat you like)
Preparation
Soak wooden toothpicks in a glass of cold water. Preheat oven to the ubiquitous 350. Cut package of bacon in half. Wrap one half strip of bacon around each water chestnut and secure with a toothpick. Bake wrapped water chestnuts in a 9x13 baking dish for 20 minutes, or until you start to get a crispy edge to the bacon. Meanwhile, mix brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and hot sauce. Remove dish from oven and drain the grease. Pour sauce into baking dish, using a basting brush if necessary to coat each piece. Bake for an additional 30-40 minutes or until the sugars start to caramelize. Transfer to serving plate and serve hot.
