Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 cup salted butter
    2 large eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
    2 3/4 cups flour
    3 tbsp. sugar
    3 tsp. cinnamon, or to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Mix sugar, baking soda, and butter in a large bowl

    Stir in eggs, salt, cream of tartar, and vanilla, if desired.

    Add flour in two batches, mixing until just incorporated.

    Chill for two hours

    Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and then roll in the cinnamon and sugar.

    Place balls two inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly tinged with gold. Chill the batter in between batches.
