Brown Sugar Caramel Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    topping:
    1 1/2 cups matzo meal
    2/3 cup sugar
    1/2 cold margarine or butter, melted
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    Filling:
    4 lbs apples
    2 TBs fresh squeezed lemon juice
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tsp ground cinnamon
    Caramel:
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 whipping cream or non-dairy coffee creamer
    1/4 cup butter
Preparation
    topping:
    combine ingredients in bowl and stir well, set aside.
    filling
    peel and core apples. cut into 1: chunks and transfer to large bowl. add remaining ingredients and toss. transfer to baking dish. Using your hands, crumble topping over the apples. bake 350 1 hour until topping is golden and apples are bubbly.
    caramel:
    combine ingredients in saucepan over med heat. cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved. remove from heat to cool.
    serve the crisp with caramel on the side or pour over.
