Jeanne'S Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 12-oz pkgs split peas, rinsed & soaked overnight
    1 medium onion, chopped
    5 carrots, sliced
    2 qts water (keep adding)
    Cauliflower, chopped
    Potatoes, peeled & diced
    Chunk of black forest ham
    Salt & pepper to taste
    Chipotle pepper to taste
Preparation
    1. Soak peas overnight in large kettle.
    2. Add all other ingredients and cook, uncovered, for several hours or until potatoes are tender and peas have turned to mush.
