Chocolate Chip Jaffa Muffins - cooking recipe

2 2/3 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup cold butter, finely chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 None large egg
4.5 oz dark chocolate chips
2 tsp orange zest
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Cut in butter then stir in sugar, buttermilk and egg until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and orange zest. Distribute between muffin recesses and bake for 20 mins. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
