Prune Clafoutis - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup brandy or Cointreau
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 cups pitted prunes
    1 cup flour
    1 None orange, peel finely grated
    1 1/4 cups milk
    3 None eggs
    1/4 cup powdered sugar
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Generously grease an 8-inch flan dish with butter.
    Heat brandy and half the granulated sugar in a small saucepan on medium heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Add prunes; cook for 5 mins. Cool. Drain prunes, reserving liquid.
    Sift flour into a large bowl with a pinch of salt. Stir in remaining sugar and orange peel. Whisk milk, eggs and reserved prune liquid in a medium bowl. Stir into flour mixture until smooth. Pour batter into prepared dish; sprinkle with prunes.
    Bake for 30-35 mins, until puffed and golden. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
