Macaroni And Cheese With Ham - cooking recipe

8.75 oz macaroni
5 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
2/3 lb frozen mixed vegetables
4 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
2 oz Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
3.5 oz ham, sliced, to serve
Preparation

Cook pasta in boiling salted water for 10-12 mins, or until al dente. Drain then return to pan.
Meanwhile, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and cook until light golden brown. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Cook, stirring, for 3-4 mins, or until thick and bubbly. Reduce heat, add vegetables and simmer for 2-3 mins, or until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat, add cheese and parsley. Season. Toss with pasta then transfer to serving dishes and top with ham.
