Blue Cheese And Fig Bites - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
2 None green onions, chopped coarsely
1 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 loaf Turkish bread or focaccia
7 oz dried figs, thinly sliced
4 oz blue cheese, thinly sliced
Preparation

Process almonds, onion, mint, oil and lemon juice in food processor until smooth; season to taste.
Preheat the broiler.
Split bread crosswise. Cut in 3 x 1-inch strips. Toast bread, cut-side up, under broiler.
Spread almond mixture on bottom half the toasts; top with figs and cheese. Top with remaining toasts. Serve warm or cold.
