Apple Pie With Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 pinch salt
    1 2/3 lb apples, peeled, cored and sliced (about 6 cups)
    3 tbsp lemon juice, drizzle over the peeled apples to prevent browning
    3 1/2 tbsp butter or margarine
    5 tbsp maple syrup or honey
    1 2/3 cup heavy cream
    3 None eggs
    1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
    3 tbsp Southern Comfort
Preparation
    Combine the flour, butter, sugar, salt and 4-6 tbsp of cold water. Knead it into a smooth dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 mins.
    Melt 3 1/2 tbsp of butter in a pan and stir in the maple syrup. Set aside to cool.
    Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Roll out the pastry dough on a floured work surface and place it in a greased pie dish. Prick it several times with a fork and spread the apple slices out onto the pastry. Mix the cream into the syrup then add the eggs, nuts and Southern Comfort. Stir well and pour the mixture over the apples. Bake for about 45 mins.
