Strawberry Baked Alaskas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 None large sponge cake base (or 4 small)
4 scoops strawberry ice cream
2 None medium egg whites
1/2 cup sugar

Using a 3-inch ring cutter, stamp out 4 circles from the sponge cake; place on a baking sheet, well spaced apart. Place a scoop of ice cream on top of each cake circle; freeze for 10 mins.
Whisk the egg whites in a clean, grease-free bowl until stiff. Add the sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, whisking well between each addition until the mixture is thick and glossy.
Spread the meringue mixture over the ice cream, making sure it completely covers the ice cream and cake bases. Swirl with the back of a spoon. Freeze for 10 mins or until ready to bake.
Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Bake for 3-4 mins until the meringue is pale golden. Transfer to serving plates; serve immediately.
