Chewy Pistachio And Almond Bars - cooking recipe

1 cup blanched almonds, toasted
1 cup unsalted shelled pistachios, toasted
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 None egg
2 None egg whites
None None Green food color
1 1/3 cup sliced almonds
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F. Grease a 12 x 8-inch baking pan; line bottom and long sides with parchment paper, extending paper 2 inches above long sides.
Process blanched almonds and pistachios until fine. Combine nuts and sifted powdered sugar in medium bowl. Stir in egg and egg whites. Tint mixture green with food color.
Sprinkle half the sliced almonds over bottom of prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of mixture over nuts, carefully spread mixture over nuts with a spatula. Sprinkle with remaining sliced almonds, press down firmly.
Bake about 30 mins. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
