Leek, Ham, Apple And Potato Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 None leeks
1 tbsp butter
1 1/3 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
4 oz thinly sliced ham
3 None apples, cored and thinly sliced
3 None eggs
2/3 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup milk
None None Freshly grated nutmeg
1 3/4 cups grated Cheddar or Gruyere cheese
2 tbsp coarsely chopped hazelnuts
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0F. Grease 4 individual shallow baking dishes. Trim the leeks and halve lengthwise.
Melt the butter in large skillet on medium heat. Cook the leeks for 3-5 mins, turning once until beginning to soften. Layer the potatoes, ham and apples in the dishes. Arrange the leeks on top.
Whisk the eggs, cream and milk in medium bowl. Add plenty of freshly grated nutmeg and salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the vegetables and sprinkle with the cheese. Cover with foil.
Bake for 20 mins. Remove foil and and sprinkle with the hazelnuts. Bake for a further 25 mins or until the potatoes are tender.
