Banana Caramel Sundae - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2.5 oz dark chocolate, finely chopped
    2/3 cup toasted walnuts, coarsely chopped
    4 cups vanilla ice cream
    4 None bananas (around 2 lbs), coarsely chopped
    7 tbsp butter
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
Preparation
    To make the caramel sauce, combine butter, heavy cream and light brown sugar in a small saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 mins. Let cool.
    Distribute 1/3 of the caramel sauce between 6 - 6 oz glasses. Distribute 1/2 the chocolate, nuts, ice cream and bananas over top. Repeat layers, ending with a layer of caramel sauce.
