Mushroom Sauce On Rye Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
    2 tbsp butter
    1 lb mushrooms, wiped and sliced
    1 None garlic clove, peeled and chopped
    4 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves stripped, plus extra to garnish
    1/2 cup sour cream
    4 slices rye bread
Preparation
    Heat the oil and butter in a large non-stick frying pan, add the mushrooms and saute for 3 minutes. Add the garlic and thyme and continue cooking for another 2 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and heat through gently then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
    Meanwhile, lightly toast the bread on both sides. Top the toast with the creamy mushroom mixture and serve garnished with thyme sprigs.
