Beef And Spinach Pinwheels - cooking recipe

1 None egg
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
8 oz spinach, finely chopped, cooked, drained
1 lb ground beef, seasoned to taste
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the egg in a bowl with 1/2 tsp of salt and beat lightly. Add the butter and milk and stir in the flour with a fork to form a dough. Turn out onto a floured work surface and knead lightly.
Roll the dough out thinly into an 11 x 15 inch rectangle. Top with an even layer of spinach, leaving a 1 inch border around the edges. Top with ground beef.
Starting from the long edge, roll the dough up loosely to enclose the filling. Moisten the ends with water and pinch together to seal. Using a sharp knife, cut into 3/4 inch slices. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 mins, until the pastry is golden and the beef is cooked. Serve.
