Spicy Bean Burgers - cooking recipe

2 14 oz cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 lb carrots, peeled and grated
1 None red onion, peeled and finely diced
1 tsp chili flakes
3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
4 tbsp all purpose flour, plus extra for rolling
2/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp olive oil
4 None sesame-topped burger buns, halved
2 None tomatoes, sliced
2 stems fresh basil, leaves stripped from stems
4 tbsp chili sauce
Preparation

Place the kidney beans, carrots, onion, chili flakes and half the garlic in a blender. Season with salt and puree. Knead in the flour. Form into 4 burgers, roll in flour and chill for 1 hour.
Preheat the broiler to hot. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and remaining garlic. Season with salt and black pepper. Line the broiler pan with kitchen foil and broil the burgers for 6-8 mins on each side, until cooked through. Remove from the broiler pan and drizzle with the oil. Place the buns under the broiler and toast lightly.
Spread the garlic mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the buns. Top with the burgers, add the tomatoes and the basil leaves. Drizzle over the chili sauce and add the top bun.
