Chocolate Birthday Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, softened
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 None eggs
    1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
    1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    None None White and semi-sweet chocolate, for decoration
    None None FOR THE CHOCOLATE ICING
    4 tbsp (1/2 stick) butter, softened
    1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 tbsp milk
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease a deep 8-inch round cake pan; line bottom with parchment paper.
    Combine butter, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, eggs, 2/3 cup water and sifted flour and cocoa powder in large bowl. Beat on low speed with electric mixer until ingredients are combined.
    Increase speed to medium. Beat about 4 mins or until mixture is smooth and paler in color. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
    Bake about 1 hour until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
    For the chocolate icing, beat all ingredients in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Spread cooled cake with icing.
    Using vegetable peeler, peel sides of both chocolates to create curls. Sprinkle cake with chocolate curls.
