Fettuccine Alfredo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 oz fresh fettuccine
    6 tbsp butter
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    2 oz Parmesan cheese, grated
    2 tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
Preparation
    Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain then return to pan.
    Meanwhile, in a frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add cream. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 5 mins, or until sauce has reduced by 1/2. Add cheese and stir over low heat for 2 mins, or until cheese has melted.
    Add sauce to pasta and toss gently to coat. Season to taste. Sprinkle with parsley to serve.
