Apple-Almond Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup self-rising flour + 2 tbsp
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup ground almonds
    3/4 cup heavy cream
    2 None eggs
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 (13.5 oz) can apple slices, drained, chopped
    1 cup sliced almonds
    None None powdered sugar, for dusting
    None None whipped cream, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Lightly grease and line an 8 inch cake pan. Sift flour and spices into a large bowl. Add sugar and ground almonds. Combine cream, eggs, and vanilla then fold in. Fold in apple. Transfer to prepared pan, sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake for around 1 hour, until a skewer comes out clean.
    Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with whipped cream.
