Black Forest Tiramisu - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 cup cherry juice
    2 tsp cornstarch
    3/4 lb fresh cherries, stalks and stones removed from all but 4
    1/2 lb mascarpone cheese
    1/2 lb sour cream or creme fraiche
    2-3 tbsp powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 oz dark chocolate, roughly chopped
    16 None lady fingers, broken in half
    3-4 tbsp brandy
Preparation
    Bring the cherry juice to a boil in a small saucepan. Mix the cornstarch with a little water to make a paste, add to the cherry juice to thicken, then stir in the cherries. Bring to a boil, then leave to cool.
    Mix the mascarpone, sour cream or creme fraiche, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. Add all but 1 heaped tsp of the chocolate. Add a spoonful of this mixture to 4 glasses. Dip half the lady fingers in the brandy and arrange them on the mascarpone mixture, then add some cherry compote. Keep layering, ending with mascarpone. Decorate with the rest of the chocolate and a whole cherry.
