Bourbon Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
    2 tbsp glucose or corn syrup
    1 cup heavy cream
    3 1/2 tbsp butter, chopped and softened
    1/2 cup Bourbon Whiskey
Preparation
    Combine sugar, 1/3 cup water and glucose in a medium pot over medium heat. Cook, stirring, without boiling, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil. Boil, uncovered, for about 8 mins, or until golden brown. Remove from heat.
    Carefully whisk in cream (the mixture will bubble fiercely). Place over low heat and whisk in butter, 1 piece at a time, until combined. Whisk in Bourbon. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
