Crunchy Candied Nuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup blanched whole almonds
1 cup macadamia nuts
1 cup pecan halves
3 tbsp butter, chopped
Preparation

Place the sugar and 1/2 cup water in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan on medium heat. Stir, without boiling, until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, and boil without stirring, until the temperature reaches 240\u00b0F on a candy thermometer (or when a teaspoon of syrup dropped into a cup of cold water molds easily with your fingers into a soft ball).
Remove from the heat. Add the nuts, stirring until the mixture crystallizes. Return the pan to low heat. Stir for about 15 mins or until the nuts turn golden and caramelized.
Add the butter and stir until melted.
Spoon the nuts onto a large baking pan; cool slightly. Separate the nuts while they are still warm, then cool completely.
Store into airtight containers or jars in a cool, dry place.
