Chicken Schnitzel Burger - cooking recipe

1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped
5 tbsp ketchup
2/3 cup salad cream (or mayonnaise)
2 None chicken breast filets, halved horizontally
4 tbsp mustard
2 oz paprika-flavoured tortilla chips, crumbled
4 None large burger buns with sesame seeds, halved
4 tbsp oil
4 slices Cheddar cheese
4 leaves lettuce
2 None tomatoes, each cut into 6 slices
3 oz gherkins, drained and sliced
Preparation

Preheat the grill. In a bowl, mix the garlic, ketchup and salad cream. Season the chicken with salt and black pepper and brush with the mustard. Roll in the tortilla crumbs, gently pressing in the crumbs.
Heat a large frying pan and sear the burger buns, cut-side down, for 1 min. Remove from the pan, add the oil and heat. Add the chicken and fry over a medium heat for 4 mins, turning, until golden. Remove from the pan and spread on the grill pan. Top with the cheese and grill for 3 mins.
Spread the bottom halves of the buns with the sauce. Top with the lettuce, tomato slices, chicken and gherkins. Gently press the top halves of the buns on top.
