French Toast With Berries And Almonds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup milk
    2 None eggs
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    8 None thick slices whole-grain bread
    1 pint strawberries, sliced
    1 pint blueberries or raspberries
    2 tbsp sliced almonds, toasted
    None None Maple syrup, to serve
Preparation
    Whisk milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract in a shallow bowl. Dip bread slices in mixture, turning to coat. Let stand 1 min to absorb.
    Spray a large skillet with no stick cooking spray and heat on medium. Lift bread slices from egg mixture with a slotted spatula, letting excess drain off. Cook in batches for 2 mins each side, until puffed and golden. Transfer to heated plates.
    Top French toast with berries and sprinkle with almonds. Drizzle with maple syrup to serve.
