Ginger And Pear Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, chopped
2/3 cup dark brown sugar
2/3 cup buttermilk
2 None eggs, lightly whisked
1 cup all-purpose flour + 2 tbsp
1/2 cup self-rising flour
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 None pears, peeled, cored, 1 finely chopped, 1 thinly sliced lengthwise
None None Greek yogurt, to serve (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0F. Grease and line an 8 inch square cake pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter then whisk in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat. Whisk in buttermilk then egg. Add flour, ginger and baking soda. Add finely chopped pear. Transfer to prepared pan. Arrange sliced pear over top. Bake for 55 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve with yogurt, if desired.
