Coconut Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup flaked coconut
    1 cup canned coconut cream, warmed
    3 1/2 cups self-rising flour
    2 tbsp powdered sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 cup milk, plus additional, for brushing
Preparation
    Combine coconut and coconut cream in a small bowl. Let stand 20 mins or until mixture has thickened slightly.
    Preheat the oven to 450\u00b0F. Combine flour, powdered sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add coconut mixture and milk. Stir with a spatula to a soft, sticky dough.
    Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead briefly until smooth. Pat or roll out to 3/4-inch thickness. Using a 2-inch cutter dipped into flour, cut rounds from dough. Place scones, side by side, on prepared pan. Re-rolls scraps as needed. Brush tops with additional milk to glaze.
    Bake for 12-15 mins or until golden and well risen. Serve scones with jam and cream, or with lime butter.
