Cheese, Bacon And Corn Pull-Apart Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 oz bacon, finely chopped
    2 cup self-rising flour, seasoned
    1/2 tsp salt
    3 tbsp butter, chopped
4.5 oz canned corn kernels, drained
    4.5 oz Parmesan, grated
1/2 cup milk, plus extra to brush
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Grease a 4 x 8 inch loaf pan.
Heat a medium frying pan over moderate heat. Add bacon; cook, stirring, 5 mins or until browned. Drain on paper towel.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Using fingertips, rub in butter. Stir in half each of the bacon, corn and Parmesan. Make a well in the center. Using a round-bladed knife, stir in milk and 1 cup water to make a soft sticky dough.
Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead briefly to combine (dough should be soft and sticky). Divide into 6 pieces; shape into balls. Place balls in prepared pan, positioning near the edges. Brush tops with a little extra milk. Sprinkle with remaining bacon, corn and Parmesan.
Bake 35-40 mins, or until golden and loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Serve warm with butter.
