Beef And Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 kg lean minced beef
    2 None onions, chopped
    500 g cabbage, shredded
400 g tomatoes, skinned and roughly chopped
    1 tbsp plain flour
200 ml vegetable or beef stock
    100 ml Worcestershire sauce
    250 g self-raising flour
    100 g butter
    125 g Cheddar cheese, grated
    125 ml milk
    1 tbsp chopped parsley
Preparation
Heat the oil in a saucepan and add the ground beef. Cook stirring for 5 mins to brown. Add the onions and cook for 5 more mins. Stir in the cabbage and tomatoes and sprinkle in the all-purpose flour. Cook, stirring, for 3 mins. Add the stock and Worcestershire sauce and cook for 5 more mins until thickened. Season to taste and transfer to a shallow ovenproof dish.
Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Put the self-rising flour in a bowl and add the butter, rubbing together with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in 3/4 of the cheese and the milk and stir until smooth.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll out to 2/3 inch thickness. Cut out small circles using a 2 inch cookie cutter and arrange around the edges of the ovenproof dish, on top of the beef. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake for 30-40 mins until golden. Sprinkle with chopped parsley to serve .
