Sausage And Basil Macaroni - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg (16 oz) macaroni
2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
1 1/3 lbs pork sausages
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
1 cup basil leaves
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large deep skillet on high heat. Add sausages; cook and turn for 5-8 mins or until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet. Add onion, garlic, tomatoes, 3/4 cup of the basil leaves and peas to pan. Reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins or until slightly reduced.
Slice sausages and add to tomato mixture in pan. Add macaroni; stir to combine. Season. Serve sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and remaining 1/4 cup basil leaves.
