Ingredients
    1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
    4 tbsp butter, melted
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed, shaped into an oval
2 None pears, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
    1/3 cup golden raisins
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    None None Chocolate Custard
    2 None large egg yolks
    1/4 cup sugar
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    3/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup heavy cream
3.5 oz dark chocolate, finely chopped
1 tbsp Kahlua coffee liqueur (optional)
None None powdered sugar, to serve
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Lightly grease a baking tray.
Combine ground hazelnuts and butter then spread over puff pastry, leaving a 1 inch border.
Combine pears, raisins and sugar then arrange over hazelnut layer.
Fold puff pastry border upwards and pleat over filling. Bake for 15-20 mins, until golden brown.
Meanwhile, to make the chocolate custard, in a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch. Bring milk and cream to a boil then remove from heat. Gradually whisk into yolk mixture then return to saucepan. Stir over low heat until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon (about 10 mins). Do not boil.
Stir in chocolate and Kahlua, if using, until chocolate melts. Remove from heat. Dust pie with powdered sugar and serve with chocolate custard.
