Indian-Spiced Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 cups milk
    1 (13.5 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    8 None cardamom pods
    2 None oranges, segmented + 1 strip zest
    7 oz basmati rice, soaked in cold water for 30 mins, drained
    1/2 cup raisins
    2/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
    1 pinch saffron threads
Preparation
    Combine milk, condensed milk, cardamom and orange zest in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until mixture almost boils. Add rice, reduce heat to low and cook, uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender and most of liquid is absorbed.
    Add raisins, 1/3 cup almonds and saffron. Simmer for another 2-3 mins.
    Serve rice pudding topped with orange segments and remaining almonds.
