Pasta Alfredo - cooking recipe

14 oz package fettucine
2 tbsp butter
1 1/4 cups half and half
1 1/4 cups grated Parmesan
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
None None Mesclun, crusty bread, to serve
Preparation

Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, according to packet instructions. Drain well.
Melt butter in a large skillet on high. Blend in cream and 1 cup of Parmesan. Heat, stirring, for 3 mins until mixture bubbles.
Toss pasta with sauce and nutmeg and season to taste. Serve topped with remaining Parmesan cheese. Serve with salad and crusty bread.
