Cheese And Onion Twists - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tbsp Parmesan, grated
    1 tbsp finely chopped green onion
    None None Cheese and Onion Twists
    2 1/3 cups self-rising flour
    3 tbsp chilled butter, chopped
    4 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup water
    1 None large egg, beaten
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. Lightly grease two baking sheets. For the dough, sift flour into a large bowl. Rub in butter, using fingertips. Stir in cheese. Make a well in the center. Add milk and 1/2 cup water all at once. Use a knife to mix into a soft dough. Turn out onto a floured surface. Knead lightly into a ball and divide into 3 pieces. Roll one piece out into an 8 x 12 inch rectangle. Cut in half.
    For the filling, combine Parmesan and onion in a bowl.
    To assemble, brush one of the dough rectangles with a little egg. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the filling. Cover with remaining dough rectangle. Press together with rolling pin to 1/8 inch thickness. Brush with a little egg. Cut into 12 x 1/3 inch strips lengthwise. Pinching at both ends, twist into spirals and place on baking sheets. Bake 8-10 mins, until crisp and golden. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Repeat with remaining dough pieces and filling. Serve warm or at room temperature.
