    1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
2 inch piece fresh ginger, grated finely
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 lb thick asparagus, trimmed
    8 None large scallions, trimmed
    1 tsp wasabi paste
    1/4 cup soy sauce
None None Steamed rice, to serve
Preparation
Place the steaks, teriyaki sauce, ginger and garlic in a dish. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight to marinate.
Remove steaks from marinade. Cook the steaks on a heated griddle plan or oiled grill until browned on both sides and cooked as desired. Transfer the steaks to a warm plate, cover and leave to rest for 5 mins.
Meanwhile, saute the asparagus and scallions until just tender.
Slice the steaks thinly and place on a warmed serving platter with the asparagus and scallions. Serve with wasabi, soy sauce and steamed rice, if desired.
