Yellow Coconut Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz long-grain white rice
    1 (13.5 oz) can coconut cream
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp white sugar
    1/2 tsp ground turmeric
    1 pinch saffron threads
Preparation
    Soak rice in cold water for 30 mins. Transfer to a strainer and rinse under cold water until water runs clear. Drain.
    Transfer rice to a large heavy-bottomed saucepan along with 1 1/4 cups water, coconut cream, salt, sugar, turmeric and saffron. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, without stirring, for 15 mins, or until rice is tender. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 mins, before serving.
