Cranberry And Red Onion Relish - cooking recipe

4 tbsp butter
3 None large red onions, thinly sliced
2 1/4 lb frozen cranberries
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup malt vinegar
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp kosher salt
4 None whole cloves
1/2 tsp dried chili flakes
Preparation

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion until softened. Add remaining ingredients and cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour, or until thick.
