Hazelnut Espresso Friands - cooking recipe

15 tbsp butter
1 tbsp instant coffee granules
6 None large egg whites
1 cup ground hazelnuts
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F. Grease a 12-cup oval friand pan.
Melt butter and coffee granules in a small saucepan over low heat until coffee dissolves. Let cool for 10 mins.
Using a fork, whisk egg whites in a medium bowl until combined. Stir in butter mixture and remaining ingredients until combined. Distribute between friand recesses and bake for 25 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
