Hoisin Honey Chicken Wings - cooking recipe

2 1/4 lbs chicken wings
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp honey, warmed
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 large carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks
1/4 small red cabbage, shredded
1/4 None Chinese cabbage, shredded
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp lemon juice
None None Lemon wedges, to serve
Preparation

Place the chicken in a large shallow glass or ceramic dish. Whisk the hoisin sauce, honey, sesame oil and garlic in a medium bowl. Pour half the mixture over the chicken. Turn to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 mins, turning occasionally, to marinate. Reserve the remaining marinade.
Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Place 1 cup of water in a large roasting pan. Spray a wire rack with no stick cooking spray then place in the prepared pan. Drain the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken on the rack.
Bake for 15 mins. Brush with the reserved marinade. Bake for 15 mins more. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 5 mins or until the glaze is sticky and the seeds are toasted.
Combine the carrot, cabbage and cilantro in a large bowl. Whisk the mayonnaise, lemon juice and 1 tbsp hot water in a small bowl; add to the carrot mixture. Toss to combine. Serve the chicken with salad and lemon wedges.
