Cincinnati Chili With Macaroni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
    1 None onion, finely chopped
    3 strips bacon, chopped
    1 lb ground beef
    1 (20 oz) jar pasta sauce
    1 (15 oz) can baked beans in tomato sauce
    2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped + extra leaves, to serve
    14 oz macaroni
    None None cheddar cheese, grated, to serve
Preparation
    Heat oil in a frying pan over high heat, add onion and cook for 3 mins, or until soft. Add bacon and ground meat and cook, stirring to break up lumps, for 5 mins, or until browned. Add pasta sauce and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 25 mins, or until sauce reduces. Add baked beans and cook until heated through. Remove from heat and add basil.
    Meanwhile, cook pasta in boiling salted water for 8 mins, or until tender. Drain.
    Divide pasta between serving bowls and top with bolognese sauce. Serve sprinkled with cheese and extra basil.
