Orange And Almond Sweetmeats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 cups self-rising flour
    6 tbsp cold ghee or butter
    1/2 cup ground almonds
    1/4 tsp ground cloves
    1/3 cup plain yogurt, plus additional, to serve
    1 tbsp finely grated orange peel
    None None Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
    1/4 cup sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour into a large bowl. Rub in ghee until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in almonds and cloves.
    Stir in yogurt, 1/4 cup warm water and orange peel. Mix to a soft dough. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Divide dough evenly into 30 balls.
    Heat oil in a large saucepan on medium-high heat. Deep-fry dough balls in batches for 3-4 mins, until golden. Drain on paper towels. Roll in sugar and serve with additional yogurt.
