Squash, Fennel And Cheddar Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb winter squash, seeded, peeled, thinly sliced
1 bulb fennel, trimmed, thinly sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream
2.5 oz Parmesan cheese, grated
1 clove garlic, minced
2 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
1/3 cup fresh breadcrumbs
6 None fresh sage leaves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Lightly grease an 8-cup shallow baking dish.
Layer squash and fennel in prepared dish. Whisk together cream, 1/2 the Parmesan and garlic. Season. Pour over vegetables. Bake, covered, for 40 mins. Uncover and sprinkle with Cheddar, breadcrumbs and remaining Parmesan. Sprinkle with sage. Bake, uncovered, for another 15-20 mins, until tender and golden.
