Broiled Stone Fruit With Amaretti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 None ripe apricots, halved and pitted
    6 None ripe nectarines, halved and pitted
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 cup mascarpone cheese (or whipped cream or vanilla ice cream)
    6 None amaretti cookies, crushed
Preparation
    Preheat broiler to high. Place apricots and nectarines, cut-side up, on a foil-lined shallow baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar. Broil until softened and browned.
    Serve fruit drizzles with pan juices. Top with mascarpone and sprinkle with amaretti.
