Ingredients

4 None egg yolks
4 tbsp granulated sugar
1 lb mascarpone cheese or whipped cream cheese
1 None lemon, zested
3/4 cup coffee, chilled
4 tbsp brandy
5.25 oz ladyfinger cookies
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Preparation

For the mascarpone cream, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until thick and creamy. Mix in the mascarpone (or whipped cream cheese, if using), a little at a time, until smooth then stir in the lemon zest. Set aside.
To build the tiramisu, mix the coffee and brandy in a shallow dish. Dip 1/2 the ladyfinger cookies in the mixture then use to cover the bottom of a 7 x 10 inch dish. Spread 1/2 the mascarpone cream over top. Repeat with the remaining cookies and mascarpone cream. Chill for at least 2 hours. Dust with cocoa before serving.
