Boiled Apricot Nectar Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup chopped dried apricots
    1/2 cup chopped raisins
    1/2 cup golden raisins
    1/4 cup chopped dates
    1/4 cup chopped glace cherries
    1 cup apricot nectar
    1 cup (2 sticks) butter
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    5 None eggs
    1 1/3 cups flour
    1/3 cup self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine the fruit with the apricot nectar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low; cover and simmer for 5 mins. Remove from the heat. Cover and let stand overnight.
    Preheat the oven to 300\u00b0F. Line the bottom and side of a deep 9-inch round (or deep 8-inch square) baking pan with 3 layers of parchment paper.
    Beat butter and brown sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in the fruit mixture until well combined. Stir in sifted dry ingredients. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan.
    Bake for about 2 1/2 hours. Cover with foil. Cool in the pan.
